How to unblock sites blocked by ESET? ›

Click Settings → Web and Email and click Web access protection. Expand URL Address Management and click Edit. Select List of addresses excluded from content scan and click Edit. Click Add.

Simple — use a VPN. VPNs, or virtual private networks, allow you to spoof your digital location and cut through the proverbial red tape that blocks you from certain websites. And this goes for desktops, laptops and mobile devices too.

Compared to other antivirus software, you'll find that ESET Antivirus is quite expensive. Moreover, its lower plans lack features, such as a firewall and password manager, that are included in other providers' basic plans. You won't find VPN functionality even on ESET's highest plan.

Web access protection offers two level of protection, blocking by blacklist and blocking by content. We strongly recommend that Web access protection is enabled. Can I use my ESET product with a VPN? Using a VPN in combination with your ESET product will not detract from the security offered by your ESET product. A VPN may impact ESET products. If there is a firewall or IP allow/block list on the VPN provider, enable the ports and addresses required to use your ESET product.

You can create new firewall rules for applications before they are detected by ESET Endpoint Security in the firewall setup window, located under Advanced setup > Firewall > Basic > Rules by clicking Edit. Click Add to add the rule. In the General tab, enter the name, direction and communication protocol for the rule.

To add a new address to the whitelist or blacklist, right-click the email and select ESET Endpoint Security > Add to Whitelist or Add to Blacklist, or click the Trusted address or Spam address button in the ESET Endpoint Security Antispam toolbar in your email client.

To see if your firewall is blocking a website, app, or port on Windows, go to Windows Firewall > Advanced Settings and check your Outbound rules.
