Slip Knot | Use the crochet hook to draw the yarn through the loop and pull the loop until tight |
Chain(CH) | Wrap the yarn over the hook from back to front. Pull the hook with the yarn, through the loop that is on your hook |
Double Crochet(DC) | Wrap the yarn over the hook and put your hook into the next stitch or the third chain from your hook when you start Yarn over and pull the yarn through the stitch Wrap the yarn over and pull the yarn through two of the three loops on the hook Yarn over once more and pull the yarn through the remaining two loops on the hook |
Skip (SK) | Skip the next chain and put your hook into the following chain or stitch. This is indicated by SK 1CH |

Start your pattern with an even number of chain stitches. To make this swatch use 20 chain stitches.
